I have established myself as a self-starter and a creative leader that helps refine all processes to achieve and maintain a creative mind.
Mike.A is a New York contemporary artist originally from the Bronx. He received a Fine Arts Degree and BFA in design from the School of Visual Arts in NYC. He developed his passion for art at an early age. Mike.A was greatly inspired and influenced by cartoons and street culture. He describes his work as pop surreal with an edgy, whimsical flair.
Mike.A. has airbrushed retail store windows for 25 years throughout the Tri-state area. His unique urban style caught the attention of some high profile clients such as Heineken. His work was also featured in Airbrush Magazine, Mac Design Magazine and Photoshop User.
For seventeen years he worked in the entertainment world and for ten years as a Creative Director for Gaiam, designing for such clients as the Discovery Channel. Paralleling his successful career he founded TimeDriven a design company and Mobile Octopus a mobile app/game company both focused on helping business owners create powerful brands and visual identities on all platforms.
Mike.A’s work has been shown most recently at galleries in Charlestown, Rhode Island and in Southampton, NY. He works on commission for both residential and commercial clients. His most acclaimed commission was by renowned art collector Aby Rosen for the W Hotel in South Beach Miami. His most recent work is a 100 ft mural on Fordham Road and Hughes Avenue in the Bronx NY. A Bronx Tale, with a nod to Chazz Palmitieri and Arthur Avenue, commissioned by the Belmont Business Improvement District.
Designed and developed PigFish a mobile game for IOS and Android. Plan and define all the elements of the game setting, structure, story flow, characters, interface design, and game play. Managed and developed a high level creative team with animator, game programmer and a music composer. Designed, storyboard, graphics, voice for trailer, website, print material, comic books, and trade show booth.
